| 1972 Beetle £1500.00 he is a beetle with a difference. He is Herbie. Herbie is a repilca of the real Herbie. He has been used to promote the film at cinemas by the previous owner. Unfortunately i haven't had the time to look after Herbie as i would have liked, so i think it is time for him to have a new home. He is a good runner as i have travelled back and too to wales in him, which was quite good fun as everyone would wave. He has some surface rust on the chrome and on some of the body work. I will be sad to see him go, but he needs looking after. |

| 1960 Beetle £4250.00 This is a very special 1960 VW Beetle I'm only it's second owner from new, the story is that the original owner bought it new in Germany, married an English bloke and brought it over here and when he fell ill they put it into storage in their garage until I bought it over thirty years later. When we got it, we gave it some petrol, changed the oil, fitted a fresh battery, and it fired up almost first time. Because the car had been cherished by it's former owner it needed very little doing to pass it's MOT, and what was done has been carried out to a high standard by a highly respected air-cooled VW specialist. Naturally after all these years the paint was showing it's age, so we went to great expense to give the outside a complete repaint, and again this has been done to a very high standard. All of the brakes have been serviced and it stops when you ask it to. The engine has been fully serviced, all the valves have been adjusted, and we've installed a new Bosch 009 distributor and upgraded the ignition to an electronic and more modern version. The original (working ) distributor is included in the sale, along with the original bumpers. Also included in the sale are a very rare accesory, a set of original snow tracks that we found under the bonnet when we got the car. Everything on the car works perfectly, the doors close like new, the semaphores pop out when you ask them and close after you've turned to corner automatically, it drives perfectly and starts first time, the choke is still fully operational, the gears are like new, smooth and easy. The interior whilst fully serviceable needs some attention with a little fraying on the seats. The original headlining and door trims are showing some signs of staining, and whilst I am no expert I am pretty sure these can be brought back to life with the assistance of some good old fashioned elbow grease and some cleaning products. Unfortunately he is a non- runner and will need to be trailered away, however he shouldn't need too much work to be back on the road again ! Mot/tax has run out in April 2008 !!! Inside he is fully livable and ready for those camping exhibitions, with a working sink, gas hob/grill, rock'n'roll bed, lam floor, electric hook-up, 2 electric panel heaters etc. Outside needs attention because of rust, however i have 2 rust free doors of the same colour included in the price. The worst areas are the two rear wheel arches which would of been my next phase if i were keeping him. No rust, kept in a dry garage all year round and only driven when dry! Canvas is in mint condition, starts first time. There are two things needed to be done to 'bertie' the first is a spot of wielding on one of the supporting roof bars, the second is that the fuel gauge needs re-adjusting in the tank. | 1975 Beetle £2600.00 Reluctantly I'm selling my superb 1975 beetle. Due to my moving house and wanting some holidays it means that i never use it, so I think it should go to a loving new home :( GOOD POINTS: * Me and a friend have been working on the engine, so now it is suprisingly nippy and will comfortably do 65mph on the motorway. Spare drive belt & accelerator cable included in sale * AWESOME stereo. Coupled with the big exhaust you will hear it coming :D * Carbon fibre arches and rear valance = very light & will NEVER rust. * Bucket seats & deep rallye style steering wheel * intact running boards & heater channels * all electrics working, including heated rear windscreen. BAD POINTS: * There is some rust around the bottom of the bonnet lid and the rear passenger window. Bearing in mind that this car is over 30 years old it's in VERY good condition, I just don't have the time to do it :( *there is a small crack in the rear valance just above the exhaust where it hit going over a speed bump - this is easily fixed with some carbon fibre resin. This is a head turning car - people actually wave at you as you drive down the street. It kills me that I have to get rid of it, but the sheer lack of use and the desire for expensive holidays has got the better of me.
